Rias Attar, is an accomplished business strategist, business transformation expert, operational excellence leader, and program and change management professional.
He is a book author and an industry award winner with a track record in increasing profits and delivering strategic initiatives that successfully transformed and integrated business operations.
He is recognized for his ability to help strategize business architecture, identify areas to improve processes and outcomes, turn around businesses from deficient to profitability, champion continuous improvement efforts, deliver challenging cross-functional programs while working collaboratively with diverse types of stakeholders, lead and coach winning teams, and inspire staff to welcome change and deliver ambitious results.
Executing Transformation Programs
Mr. Attar has initiated, planned and executed transformational programs (Business and Technology) that contributed over $1B of combined EBITDA impact and managed portfolios of initiatives that added up to $250M of Annual EBITDA.
He led revenue increase and waste reduction efforts, championed Program and Change Management, ensured Governance while reducing Bureaucracy, and set business directions while motivating teams, building a trusting culture, developing people’s skills, and generating enthusiasm.
Mr. Attar worked for different small, medium and fortune 500 companies at a variety of industries.
He started his professional career in Finance then moved to project management and operational excellence since early 2000s. During that time, he worked/lived in the USA, The Middle East, and Canada. Companies Rias served include: Caesars Entertainment, Dannon/Danone Dairy, Maple Leaf Foods, General Electric/Genworth, DHL Express, Michelin Tires, and others.
Mr. Attar has a bachelor’s degree in Finance, got his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Texas, and have a few certifications in project management such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) and a Change Management Practitioner (CMP).
